Band photo buttons will be available no later than the 2nd home game.

Mr. Schatt Needs Videographer

Mr. Schatt needs a parent to videotape the band during the Friday night games. This does not have to be professional quality, just some video to evaluate and learn from on a weekly basis. Multiple recordings are fine if more than one person can help.

Marching Band Kickoff

The football season and the first halftime show of 2009-10 will be on Friday, August 28, at Streetsboro. The music boosters provide refreshments at halftime to the marching bands and drill teams at all HOME games. Volunteers are needed to assist passing out food. This is easy to do and also great fun. Call Patti Gabb at 392-0554 (before she calls you) to volunteer.

Good Food and Great Music

"Dollars For Dining" at Mavis Winkles featuring the local band Trancemitter. On Saturday, August 29 from 11:30 am to 11:00 p.m. Print the attached flyer and bring to Mavis Winkle's to have 20% of your bill donated to the IHS Marching Band. Trancemitter, featuring all of your favorite Marching Band percussionists, Mike Abbadini, Nikki Bandsuh, Skylar Keffer and Austin Latare, will be playing from 7:00-9:00 pm that evening. 

A New Voice

Plan to meet our new vocal director, Meghan Campbell at Open House on Wednesday, September 2.

Finding the Form

Music Booster Membership Forms are available in the packets which students will bring home from school. There are several tiers of membership levels offered. The key to a successful music program is the support of staff, students, and, especially, parents. There is nothing more rewarding than being an active member of a successful organization; your involvement speaks volumes about how you value your child's participation in our music department.

A Madrigal Dinner

On November 13 and 14 the Madrigal Dinner returns. This is a wonderful IHS holiday tradition. Set in medieval times in the tradition of the Boar's Head feast, the Madrigal Dinner is a beautiful evening filled with great food and music. Parents are needed in the kitchen to help prepare the food and clean up. Call Patti Gabb at 392-0554 (if you get this email, she may call you first) to volunteer.
